Coach Potato or Cowboy? ~ week 11

What did you do today? How did you engage in physical activity?

Physical activity can be defined as any movement of the body that requires energy expenditure.

For example, walking to class, taking the stairs, mowing the lawn, and even cleaning your house can be considered physical activity.

Exercise is a type of physical activity but not every physical activity is exercise.

Thinking about how you spend your day from when you wake to when you turnout the lights do you engage in any kind of physical activity?
Think about this area of primary food and rate it on a scale of 1-10. How are you doing in this area? Are you satisfied? Or would you like to make some changes.

Sedentary lifestyle is a huge risk factor in health. Be sure to engage in some kind of physical activity each day. Make small steps towards big gains.

Commuters and office workers tend to sit for long periods. Be sure to stand and walk throughout the day. Some people find using and setting a timer on a “fitbit’ type watch helpful to remind them “it’s time to move.”

  1. Enjoy reading about eating healthy and exercising tips. I also have a fit bit that keeps me on track, I’m no couch potato. ☺
